Liberia's Election Commission on Friday Confirmed Its Rejection of Fraud Allegations Over the First Round of Presidential Elections!
Liberia's Election on October 10, 2017 Was Described As Free and Fair by International and Domestic Observers, Despite Some Reported Delays!
The announcement, which concerns the October 10 vote, confirms a decision initially taken on Monday, National Elections Commission (NEC) official Davidetta Lassana told reporters. A second round of voting, pitting Joseph Boakai of the ruling Unity Party against former superstar footballer George Weah, had been due to take place on November 7 but was postponed by the Supreme Court following a complaint about electoral fraud. The Liberty Party candidate Charles Brumskine, who came in third, claimed that ballot stuffing and false voter registration cards marred the election -- allegations then backed up by Boakai. The commission found that the two parties failed to provide "indubitable evidence" as required by the constitution that the vote was tainted by fraud, citing material errors that had no consequence and were corrected afterwards. "The request by the complaining parties for a re-run of elections is hereby denied," said Lassana. Before the announcement, the two parties had already publicly called on the NEC's board to step down over the allegations, saying they would appeal to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court can decide whether to reject Boakai and Brumskine's complaint and allow the runoff to go ahead, or call new elections. The election was described as free and fair by international and domestic observers, despite some reported delays.Weah finished well ahead of Boakai and far clear of Brumskine, but failed to get more than 50 percent of votes to win outright, triggering the runoff.

Kobazzie The Lorma Boy Official Press Release
We are deeply saddened to announce to fan, lovers of Kobazzie Music and the general public that we will be cancelling our USA tour scheduled from Saturday December 2nd 2017 - Sunday January 28th 2018 due to the delay in receiving our working paper that allows us to legitimately work/perform while in the USA. Our legal team had worked hard to ensure we speedily receive our work permit upon our arrival here in the USA; unfortunately, this is a situation that is actually beyond our control.
Although we take great pride in giving our fans amazing music, and energetic performance each time we touch the stage, but we would not want to disregard or act against the rules and laws of the Great United States of America.
We are cognizant of the fact that this is disappointing for our fans who had been looking forward to the tour. We want you to rest assure that the dates for the tour will be rescheduled.
Meanwhile, while in the USA, we will be attending the NEA (Nigerian Entertainment Awards) in New York where we’ve been invited as a special guest. With our present in the us, we intent to work on few projects.
We want to express our gratitude and thanks to the bloggers, promoters, Djs, radio & television stations and most importantly our fans for your continuous support. You guys are amazing. We also want to thank our management team and sponsors for believing in us. May god bless you all.
